Final Deadline Extension for MNSA Awards and Scholarships

The deadline to apply for Awards and Scholarships through MNSA has been extended until January 28!  This is an annual opportunity to recognize students, faculty and student nursing association chapters for their extraordinary leadership and direction. Recipients of the awards/scholarships are presented at the 2015 Annual Convention in Lansing.

Remember:  All applicants must turn in their applications by January 28 at 12:00 pm.  Go to the Scholarships tab and click on the "Scholarship Application" for your printable application.  For any questions, email Lizzette Chavez, the Breakthrough to Nursing Director, at image-breakthrough@michigannsa.org.

Don't miss out!  This is a great opportunity to have your SNA chapter recognized for their achievements!

Running for a MNSA Board Position

Are you interested in taking the next step to become a student nurse leader?  The MNSA Board of Directors are elected annually at the Annual Convention to be held on February 6th and 7th in Lansing.  Serving on the Board of Directors is a great way to learn and improve your leadership skills.  It is also a great way to network with other student leaders across the state and looks great on a resume.  Positions include:
  • President
  • 1st Vice President
  • 2nd Vice President
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary
  • Image & Breakthrough Director
  • Membership Director
  • Advertising Director
  • Communications Director
  • Community Health Director
  • Nominations & Elections Director
  • Newsletter Editor

If interested in running for a MNSA Board position, email a short bio and picture to Emmy Buchholz, Nominations & Elections Director, to nominations@michigannsa.org.  The deadline for pre-slating is January 30.

We have extended the deadline to submit Scholarship and Awards, as well as Resolutions until Thursday, January 8 at midnight!  We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to submit yours.

Award and Scholarship submissions:  Go to the Scholarships tab and click on the "Scholarship Application" for your printable application.  Email Lizzette Chavez, the Breakthrough to Nursing Director, at mnsa.image@gmail.com with your submission and for any questions.
